Five Star Meals

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The Worthington City Schools Nutrition Services Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.


 

WELCOME BACK 

 

Worthington City Schools Food Services will offer traditional style Breakfast and Lunch meal service for the 2021-2022 School Year.

 

A Breakfast Meal consists of 4 items: grain(s), protein, fruit/vegetable, and milk.  Students must select at least 3 of the 4 items, one of which must be either a fruit or a vegetable.

 

A Lunch Meal consists of 5 items; grain(s), protein, fruit, vegetable and milk.  Students must select 3 of the 5 items, one of which must be a fruit or a vegetable.

 

FREE MEALS EXTENDED 

 

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has "extended" free meal benefits to all students through the end of the 2021-2022 school year.

This means that all students enrolled and attending school will be able to receive one Breakfast and one Lunch at no cost each day school is in session.  (NO APPLICATION NECESSARY)

 Worthington City Schools Food Services will continue to provide School Meals at No Charge to students the entire 2021-2022 school year.
